about the show

CT & Jivin, from New Jersey & New York respectively, met while working together at WNEW-FM, 102.7. No strangers to change, they both worked in marketing & promotions through the "FM Talk", "Blink", and "MIX" formats over a 4 year span. In April 2006, unhappy with their jobs and the state of FM radio in general, they decided to create a talk show of their own. In June 2006 they began a weekly podcast, available from their website ctandjivin.com. In January 2007 CT & Jivin began to set their sights on terrestrial radio, and with the help of then 92.3 Free FM Program Director John Mainelli began to fine-tune their show in preparation for their on-air debut.

Almost 1 year to the day of their first rehearsal show, they made that dream come true on April 11, 2007 on 92.3 Free FM, in the 9pm-12am slot. A second night on Free FM followed on May 11th, 2007. After a lengthy try-out period conducted by John Mainelli & Free FM, it was announced on May 21st that CT & Jivin would take over the 9pm-12am slot indefinitely at WFNY. Unfortunately for them a format change from Talk to Rock on May 24th took away the opportunity.

CT & Jivin have wasted no time in continuing to follow their dream and are currently littering the talk radio market with demos. In the meantime it's back to their roots and back to podcasts.
